Overview
A brand new reel designed for medium-heavy spinning: the robust aluminum body houses high-level mechanics. Rotor, bow and spool were designed according to the revolutionary construction concept called AIRDRIVE DESIGN, which reduces rotational inertia to a minimum, improving the fluidity of operation.
The newly developed rotor built in ZAION V is in fact very light but even more robust than in the past, thanks to a more symmetrical and balanced design: together with the new headband it offers record-breaking smoothness and makes it more difficult for tangles to form. The clutch is also completely new: the L-type ATD is designed to be even more progressive and smoother than the "standard" one.
A perfect reel for sea spinning , thanks also to the protection from saltiness (Magsealed), or for spinning large predators in fresh water.Characteristics

LT Technology introduces new and smaller dimensions of the reels but at the same time makes them more resistant .A compact body desihn with a stronger Diggear drive wheel for the perfect combinationof lightness and robustness.
The AIRDRIVE
DESIGN is the new construction concept developed to improve fixed spool reels,
optimizing their lightness, smoothness and reducing their rotational inertia
without compromising their sturdiness.
It is based on the redesign of the key components of the reels:
AIRDRIVE ROTOR
The new rotor, with a design aimed at reducing rotational inertia, maintains solidity and resistance while weighing less than the previous Air Rotor, thanks to significant structural improvements.
AIRDRIVE BAIL
An evolution of
the famous Air Bail, the Airdrive Bail headband is thinner, lighter and at the
same time resistant. Its inclination has also been revised in order to improve
the flow of the thread towards the roller.
The latest
innovation regarding the bow is the AIRDRIVE BAIL version - solid, lighter than
the previous one (8%) and more resistant to stress: the durability and
resistance over time of the mechanism opening has increased by more than double
New Airdrive
Shaft minimizes friction and power dispersion, ensuring smooth and silent
rotation; the Main Shaft, supported by special collars, moves without contact
with the pinion, differentiating itself from traditional systems.
AIRDRIVE SPOOL
Coil optimized
for weight and functionality: weight reduction for better oscillation,
anti-kink line baffle and revised clicker mechanism for clearer sound.

MAGSEALED
A special magnetized oil membrane seals the pinion outlet from the body, preventing water from penetrating the body. The technology, used by NASA in fuel lines on spacecraft, is unique to Daiwa in the sector. it is intuitive that the absence of water and dust inside the body preserves the mechanisms from the risk of corrosion, extending the life of the reel. On the most advanced reels, the system is also applied to the benefit of the line guide and the control wheel, other weak points to be protected. Both applications affect the smoothness of rotation, reducing friction and increasing the pleasure of fishing.
TOUGH DIGIGEAR
Superior level gears, developed from the famous Daiwa Digigear. The Tough Digigear components have increased in size and improved materials, guaranteeing better performance, reliability and durability over time.
It is a technology that combines the characteristics of abs spools with
long cast technology. The upper edge is composed of two edges gradually
oriented towards the outside to further reduce the friction of the exiting line
INFINITE ANTIREVERSE
A maxi-roller bearing, which rotates in only one direction, is responsible for the "one-way" rotation, i.e. without that annoying "step back" common to reels equipped with a normal anti-reverse.
TB3 TWISTBUSTER
Twist Buster III is the new version of Daiwa's anti-twist technology which, thanks to the addition of another groove on the line guide roller, allows the flattening effect of the line to be reduced to a minimum when it is retrieved.
CROSS WRAP
The crossed coil spooling guarantees better collection of the line, improving its release during the casting phase.
LT (LIGHT TOUGH)
LT Technology introduces new and smaller reel sizes but at the same time makes them more resistant. A compact body design with a stronger Digigear drive wheel for the perfect combination of lightness and robustness.
